This book has so much to offer to all ages and all cultures. It is easy to read and understand, The pictures are fantastic and the guidance/instruction for becoming a fashion photographer and blogger is very motivating. Everyone I have shown the book to has wanted a copy for themselves or their family member or friend. I recommend this book to everyone who takes an interest in their daily image and wardrobe... also, to those people who like to make their own fashion statements and creative looks. The vintage collections are so exciting to see. After viewing the photos, I realized that those "old" clothes can become classics.
I have been addicted to blogs such as The Sartorialist and Stockholm street style or even Grande Dore's site for years. Out of sheer curiosity I wanted to learn more about the technical aspects of street photography. This book is such a great primer. It helped me pick out the type of camera I need, as well as determine if this is a hobby I really want to try to pursue. Because I am a beginner I found this book useful. I do not think this book would be as helpful to a more advanced or intermediate level photographer.
This book is so specific in its subject matter. I was fortunate to find not only a book that talks about shooting street photography, but also street fashion photography. It answered every question and concern I had about shooting street style photography. The authors give great tips and advice. Their photos are gorgeous. They are true to their craft and the book does an excellent job in educating those that want to pursue this type of photography.
I used this as a reference for a school project, it is great! It even comes with a sample model release which i used as well.
I was pleased to find this book for a gift and was very satisfied with its arrival and condition. Thank you
I initially thought this was going to be more of an editorial-type book on street fashion, but was a tad disappointed to find out that it's more amateur photography OF fashion. It's still a very good book, as I can glean inspiration from people who weren't paid to be in the book--it's just their every day, natural style, which I appreciate. Don't know that I'd have bought it knowing this in the first place, though. My mistake! No biggie, though.
Xmas present for my teenage girl, who's interested in street photography. She loves it.
